With a Little Help from My Friends
We all need help at times. We lean on family and friends when we need an extra set of hands, a shoulder to cry on, or someone to encourage with their words and actions. Sometimes all we need is someone to listen, preferably over a soothing cup of Ginger Peach tea.
The old Beatles song With a Little Help from My Friends comes to my mind. The line is actually I get by with a little help from my friends. And this is so true for me. I joke that “it takes a village’ to keep my life on track and all the balls in the air. When I try to do it all alone, I soon regret it. I know I am happiest and life is fullest when I include people that I care about who care about me and my family.
This principle is most obvious to me in the summer when I am juggling work, camps, play dates, and vacation. Lately I have been getting a lot of help from a new friend, Ariel. Ariel helps me with my son Preston. She shuttles him around, feeds him, plays with him, and loves him! As you can see from this recent picture from a rainy day movie date, the feeling is mutual. Preston loves her and so do I! Today she helped me rearrange cabinets- how can you beat that?
How about you show some appreciation today for a friend that is helping you get by! Check out our beautiful selection of tea and share a cup of tea with your friend.
